Putting context and significance into perspective

Design Director Mike Jamieson participated in Perspective UK 2018 this October with a talk on ‘Responding with sensitivity to context and significance’. Programmed by The Plan, one of Italy’s leading architecture publications, the international forum brought together architects, developers, engineers and specialist manufacturers to share ideas and research.

Profiling three current projects – the Institute of Physics in King’s Cross, Aura in Cambridge and the new Territorial Headquarters for The Salvation Army in Denmark Hill – Mike discussed how different factors including the site, the client’s aspirations and historical associations have informed the design in each instance.
